Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you submit an enquiry on applykerala.in, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can ask us to delete it.
Who we are
applykerala.in ("we", "us") operates this course application portal and the enquiry forms hosted on it. For any question about this policy or about your personal data, write to info@applykerala.in.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you complete an enquiry form, we collect only the fields shown on that form:
- Name
- Phone number
- District and location, where the form asks for them
- Course you are interested in, where the form asks for it
We do not ask for your email address, date of birth, identity documents, financial details, or any government identifier on these forms.
Information collected automatically
When you open an enquiry form, and again when you submit it, our server records:
- Your IP address and browser user-agent string
- The page that referred you to the form
- Any campaign parameters in the link you clicked
(for example
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign), which tell us which advertisement brought you here - The date and time
The record made when you merely open a form contains none of the details you type. We use it only to count how many people saw a form compared with how many chose to enquire, so that we can judge whether our advertising is working.
Cookies and tracking
An essential cookie is set when the enquiry page loads. It holds a security token that prevents another website from submitting the form on your behalf. It carries no advertising identifier and expires when your session ends. The form cannot work without it.
The Meta (Facebook) Pixel may run on our enquiry pages when we are advertising. It sets Meta's own cookies, records that a page was viewed, and records that an enquiry was completed. It does not send Meta the contents of the form. We use it to measure whether our advertising works and to show relevant ads to people who have visited this site. You can control this in your Meta account under Settings › Ads, or by using your browser's cookie controls.
We do not use analytics, session-recording, or advertising tools other than those described above. This privacy policy page itself carries no tracking at all.
Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry — our counsellors contact you by phone, WhatsApp, or SMS about the course you asked about. This is the main reason we collect your details.
- To send you course and admission information relevant to that enquiry.
- To measure advertising, so we know which campaigns produce genuine enquiries.
- To prevent abuse — we limit how many submissions can come from one IP address per hour and reject repeat submissions of the same number within a short window. This is why the IP address is stored.
We rely on your consent, given when you submit the form, and on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Our own staff and counsellors, and the institution whose course you enquired about, so that they can contact you.
- Our hosting and email providers, who process the data on our behalf in order to store your enquiry and deliver the notification email that tells our team you have written in.
- Meta Platforms, limited to the pixel activity described above. If you choose to press the WhatsApp button after submitting, your message is delivered through WhatsApp under Meta's own privacy policy.
- Authorities, where we are required by law to do so.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to keep a record of our admissions activity, after which they are deleted. You can ask us to delete your record sooner — see below.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Enquiry records are held in a database that is not publicly accessible. Access is restricted to named staff accounts with individual passwords, which are stored only in hashed form, and each account can be limited to specific forms. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these measures seriously.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop contacting you.
Email info@applykerala.in from, or quoting, the phone number you submitted so that we can find your record. We will respond within a reasonable period. You may also tell any of our callers to remove you from the list, and we will act on that.
These rights are provided under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and we extend them to everyone who contacts us regardless of where they live.
Children
Our courses are aimed at adults. If you are under 18, please submit an enquiry only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us their details without that consent, contact us and we will delete the record.
Other websites
Our pages may link to sites we do not run. This policy does not cover them, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
